Aim & Objectives

  1. Enrollment of the name of a person who possess the recognized veterinary qualification and who are
    for the time being enrolled on a State Veterinary Register of the State to which Indian Veterinary Council Act extends.
  2. To prepare and maintain the State Veterinary Practitioners'  Register containing the names of
    all persons who possess the recognized veterinary qualifications.
  3. To renew the names of registered veterinary practitioners.
  4. Periodical updating of the State Veterinary Practitioners' Register.
  5. To issue provisional registration to veterinary graduates undergoing internship programme
  6. To issue duplicate certificate in the event of loss or destruction of the registration certificate.
  7. To transfer the registration from other State Councils to this State Council.
  8. To issue No Objection Certificate in cases of transfer of registration to other State Councils.
  9. To regulate veterinary practice in the State.
  10. To advise the State Government on all regulatory matters concerning veterinary practice.
  11. To frame rules and amend the rules under Section 65 of the Act.
  12. To implement the provisions of the Act, and Rules and Regulations framed there under.
  13. Constitution of State Veterinary Council under Section 32 of the Act.
  14. To  incorporate addition/alteration of any amendments to the Register.
  15. Etiquette & Code of ethics for the Veterinary Practitioners.
