Aim & Objectives
- Enrollment of the name of a person who possess the recognized veterinary qualification and who are
for the time being enrolled on a State Veterinary Register of the State to which Indian Veterinary Council Act extends.
- To prepare and maintain the State Veterinary Practitioners' Register containing the names of
all persons who possess the recognized veterinary qualifications.
- To renew the names of registered veterinary practitioners.
- Periodical updating of the State Veterinary Practitioners' Register.
- To issue provisional registration to veterinary graduates undergoing internship programme
- To issue duplicate certificate in the event of loss or destruction of the registration certificate.
- To transfer the registration from other State Councils to this State Council.
- To issue No Objection Certificate in cases of transfer of registration to other State Councils.
- To regulate veterinary practice in the State.
- To advise the State Government on all regulatory matters concerning veterinary practice.
- To frame rules and amend the rules under Section 65 of the Act.
- To implement the provisions of the Act, and Rules and Regulations framed there under.
- Constitution of State Veterinary Council under Section 32 of the Act.
- To incorporate addition/alteration of any amendments to the Register.
- Etiquette & Code of ethics for the Veterinary Practitioners.
